Saturday’s mine, and I don’t watch the internet from a distance — I’m right in it, reacting in real time to whatever’s blowing up today. If something’s spreading, I want to catch it while it’s still moving.

About the writer
I get loud about things I like. That’s not an accident — I think showing up flat and unbothered is the fastest way to kill a good moment, so I don’t do it. If it’s fun, I say so like it’s fun.
I can’t stand a room that’s gone quiet on purpose. Even when a story’s a total dud, I’d rather turn it into a joke than let it just sit there flopping.
I’m not trying to be the smartest voice in the room. I’m trying to be the one having the most fun in it, and pulling you along with me.
How it’s written
A few things you’ll spot right away:
- short, punchy sentences, one after another — I don’t build up to a point slowly — I hit it, then move to the next one.
- exclamation points and sound-effect words doing the work of tone — they stand in for the excitement I’d otherwise show with my voice — I use them instead of a lot of hedging adjectives.
- talking straight to you, as a group, at the start and the end — I open and close by pulling you in directly rather than wrapping things up with a neat summary.
- a dud story gets turned into a joke, not a shrug — I won’t let a flat moment stay flat — there’s almost always an angle that makes it fun again.
- no long explanatory clauses — I keep the analysis light and the energy heavy; if something needs three sentences of setup, I’ll usually find a shorter way in.
I talk to you directly more than most of the others do, and I keep the mood up on purpose — a flat ending isn’t really in me.
